The new ‘Touch of Sculpture’ fabric collection from Vlisco teases the senses. Blink and look again – you’ll see the same thing twice, but on a different level. A double layer, seemingly rigid, flows in sync with the rapid movement of the fabric. The collection, a true celebration of textiles, embraces various textile techniques. Experience the passionate warmth of a soft colour scheme containing both romantic pinks and reds and subtle greens and blues, resulting in silky smooth combinations that can be blended endlessly.
Some Fashionable styles in Ankara
“Colour is powerful! Colours are fraught with symbolism, and cultural influences. There is also a physiological affect when colour is applied. TeKay Designs salutes colours with an exciting array of fashion looks that display exuberant hues for this spring and also offer an ethnic casual and semi-formal collection of multicolored jumpsuits, jackets, skirts, tops, and dresses made of Ankara fabrics and adorned with trims.
The Kungfu that is GELE
One of the Uk’s up and coming black artists recently unveiled his new collection. Influenced by God, African culture and nature, Zimbabwean British born artist Tonderai shows off the splendour of Africa in his latest work. Titled the Gele collection, his most recent artwork, made the Nigerian Gele the focus of his paintings. The story the images tell are that Africans are trendsetters not followers.
Through his art, Tonderai’s aim is to promote African traditions and represent the culture of Africans in a positive light, for there is a need for individuals to be enlightened about the traditions of Africans.
Gele’s therefore fall naturally into what he aims to bring across through his artwork. The beauty and of course the uniqueness of Geles, show off Africa in a glorious light. The Gele collection, merges the beauty of Geles with the beauty of the four seasons; spring, summer, autumn, winter.
so thats all folks please kindly drop your comments so we know what you feel about these paintings.
